Hawaii has so many fascinating places to visit and things to do that it is impossible to experience it all in one trip! No trip to Hawaii is complete without going to a Hawaiian Luau, or a Sunset Dinner Cruise.
Be sure to order your Airport Hawaiian Lei Greeting before you leave home. This can be done by going to http://www.hawaiian-holiday.com/allhawaiianislandactivities.htm. Most people think that you are automatically greeted when you get off the plane by a hula girl ready to place a lei around your neck. Not so! If you want a memorable photo, order the lei greeting.
Booking all your Hawaii activities and tours before you arrive in Hawaii saves precious vacation time! Who wants to spend time choosing what to see and where to go with a concierge, for what can take hours, when you can book it all at home before you leave.
Here are some things you might want to do in Hawaii:
Pearl Harbor Tours
Volcano Tours
Whale Watching Cruise
Polynesian Cultural Center
Hawaiian Submarine and Glass Bottom Boat tours
Snorkeling
Parasailing
Scuba Diving
Hawaii Helicopter Tours
Inter Island Tours
Hawaii Historical Tours
Hawaiian Luau
Sunset Dinner Cruise
Hawaiian Dinner Show
And much more! (if time permits)
Most of the entertainment is in the area of Waikiki Beach, so I suggest getting a hotel nearby. If you can afford a hotel room with an ocean view, I highly recommend it. The evening sunsets are magnificent!
There are several Hawaiian Luau packages available. On the Island of Oahu, I recommend the Paradise Cove Luau, where you can learn to Hula dance, make authentic Hawaiian leis and other Hawaiian items, as well as learn about the Hawaiian culture. Audience participation is a blast! Dont forget your camera.
Dinner at Shore Birds is a memorable experience. You can cook your own food on the beach. Dukes is another one you dont want to miss. If Burgers are more your style, try Cheeseburgers in Paradise. Mmmmmm Yummy.
The International Marketplace in Waikiki offers some great prices on souvenirs, and is walking distance to almost anything Waikiki. While strolling the sidewalks of Waikiki, stop by the famous Duke Statue and snap a picture. The Banyan tree is another interesting site, and located not far from the statue.
If you rented a car, convertibles recommended, take a tour around the entire island. There are some breathtaking views. The North Shore has some great beaches too.
What beats a picnic at a beach in Hawaii?
Remember to book ahead so you can enjoy every moment of your Hawaii trip!
